How To Delay Signs Of Ageing | Home Remedies & Tips To Prevent Wrinkles & Achieve Glowing Skin

Ageing gracefully or not looking older than what we actually are, is something that we all would love to balance out. With age, your skin’s elasticity reduces resulting in thin, loose and papery skin. Now, we all keep moisturising our face with multiple products, anti-ageing creams and serums to prevent our face from wrinkling and drying out. But what might surprise you is that your face is not the only part of your body that starts showing early signs of ageing. Yes, there are more! So in this video, we’ve put together a list of different body parts that reveal your skin’s age, how you can identify them and keep early signs of ageing at bay. For some more information on how to delay signs of ageing,  we’ll share our anti-ageing guide with you. Your hands are the most exposed parts of your body.

Hormonal changes and exposure to the sun in your body, result in loose, saggy and crepey skin. So, do not neglect your hands when you’re applying sunscreen on your face and neck. Keep your hands moisturised all the time with a moisturiser or a body oil of your choice. If you love home remedies, try applying banana pulp, rice paste or carrot paste on your hands as these ingredients are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C that protect your skin from the sun. As we grow older, our cell turnover rate slows down which causes our face to start looking a little dull and lifeless. Freckles, pigmentation and dark spots are a result of premature ageing. In order to even out your complexion and reduce dark spots, add skin brightening serums to your skincare routine. Use glycolic acid to mildly exfoliate your skin. Apart from using products, care for your skin by never sleeping with your face on a pillow. Speak to an expert or a doctor about increasing your calcium and vitamin intake.

As you age your eyelid muscles stretch and weaken which results in drooping. The surplus fat is this area can cause unflattering curtains over your eyes or even result in under eye bags. The skin around the eyes is relatively thinner as compared to the rest of your face. Crow’s feet and wrinkles around the eyes are a result of smiling and squinting. To avoid this from happening, wear sunglasses whenever you’re out in the sun. This will reduce squinting and keep your eyes firm. Cut down on salt, caffeine and alcohol as they lead to water retention and increase swelling in the body. Wear sunscreen, eye cream or eye gel patches to relax and protect your eyes.

The skin on your knees and elbows usually starts sagging before your hands and feet. Lack of water intake, stress, smoking, loss of sweat and oil glands are to be blamed for this. Use products with salicylic acid and urea on your elbows and knees to rejuvenate these areas of your body. Keep your skin moisturised and hydrated at all times. It’s natural to be worried about getting a turkey neck. You don’t want your neck falling down because of loss of skin laxity or volume loss. A good preventive measure would be to use the same products on your neck that you apply on your face. Retinol creams and serums are a great option too to firm and tighten your skin. Try covering your neck with a scarf when out in the sun. Eat foods rich in collagen and omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. We all know that fine lines around your lips, and forehead indicate premature skin ageing. Sun damage definitely plays a role but along with that, constantly pursing your lips,

scrunching your forehead will lead to their development. The key is to keep your skin moisturised and use the right anti-ageing ingredients such as green tea, berries and coconut oil in the face masks that you whip up at home. Ageing is inevitable but ageing gracefully is in your hands. So follow these tips to add some more elegant years to your skin’s life.
